If during the INSTALL macro, you
received a message :
"Macro canceled because of Not Found Condition ...Check Line
432"
Bankruptcy Forms has been installed, and you are missing
only one file called "lawdisks," which is merely a commercial
for our other software, such as Bankruptcy Disk (more automated
version) and HUD-1-DISK. This file is available as D:\lawdisks\lawdisks.wpd.
The addition of the letters ".WPD" caused the file not
to be copied. You can do without it quite fine. The only thing
which will not work is the button on the main menu for "Other
Software."
You might start by closing WordPerfect, then restarting WordPerfect.
Then when WordPerfect is running, press at the top menu:
Tools... Macro...Play ((make sure that your own
Macro folder ...\WPWIN\ is showing here))
then type BANKFORM then press "Play"
Then the BankForm macro runs. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Bankruptcy Forms includes the latest Official Forms the September 2000 mandatory changes to the Statement of Financial Affairs, with new questions such as: Has debtor been in business within 6 years? Had spouse in community property state? Had environmental cleanup problems/suits? Plus new business questions. These changes were announced to the public only at the end of 2000, but Law Disks has already put them into Bankruptcy Forms you received at the start of 2001 in the December 2000 Consumer Law in a Box CD.
Law Disks offers a fully automated "Bankruptcy Disk" for WordPerfect 7, 8 or 9 for Windows 95/98/ME/NT at a normal price of $195. If you have been inconvenienced, we offer you a special good will discount of 10% off if you wish to upgrade to fully automated Bankruptcy Disk for WordPerfect, which inserts all the data for you, add tables and makes the mailing list for you.
The first three versions of WordPerfect
9 (Corel Office 2000) work fine with Bankruptcy Forms. However,
beginning in service patch 4 (you can hit Help..About WordPerfect,
then see if you have the version number 9.0.0.883 or higher),
WordPerfect's macro compiler gives unprecendented warning about
so-called "Obsolete" commands, such as complaining that
"US" should be changed to "EN." You should
hit "Continue Compilation." These are not fatal. You
will get a bunch of these warning the very first time you install,
and the first time you run the BANKFORM.wcm macros in WordPerfect
9, service patch 4. After that they will not bother you again.
This problem was caused by Corel Corp. "changing the rules"
and pulling the rug out from under developers who had been using
the "old" commands successfuly for years. Please read
the next topic as well:
If you run the macro BankForm, and nothing seems to happen, it may be that dialog boxes are appearing underneath the WordPerfect window. Minimize the WordPerfect window to see if that is the case. Then click on "Continue Compilation." Once compiled, the program will run fine.
The file "D:\LawDisks\Blank_Bcy_Petition.wpd" is a WordPerfect for Windows bankruptcy schedule. "D:\LawDisks\BlankPet.wpd" is simply the Petition and Schedules, in WordPerfect 5.1 DOS format, with Times Roman font, and no macros. To use either, make a copy of it, and change the name so you do not overwrite it. All versions of WordPerfect open it.
